The Triple White Ultra Boost: a shoe that truly never shows any signs of slowing down. It’ll restock, sell out, restock, sell out again, restock again, sell out again. It’s fall now, and the temperature is getting cooler which usually means it’s time to put the white kicks away, but you still see that all-white Ultra Boost everywhere you go.
Well, all good things (and fire jawns) must come to an end sooner or later. Adidas has announced that the Triple Whites will restock one last time on their online store this month … and then they’ll be done, as the Three Stripes will be moving on to whatever new fire they’ve got coming out.
So let’s take a minute to admire this shoe. What started out as strictly a performance sneaker has become a cultural icon that you’ll see on the feet of the fashion-forwards all across the globe. Everyone from Kanye to Rita Ora to your friendly neighborhood steezy homie has a pair in their rotation, and the shoe has become firmly ingrained in the halls of streetwear and sneaker culture. You can dress it up. You can dress it down. It looks just as good with shorts as it does with jeans, and it looks almost as good beat up as it does brand new, which is a rare quality for any sneaker to possess.
Sure, many other colors of the Ultra Boost have released and sold out, but none has captured the rapt attention of the sneaker world like the extra-clean all whites. Adidas truly had a hit on their hands with these ones … and we’ve got to be honest: we’re thrilled to see what they do next.
