There’s no shame in admitting it: you took a major L when the KAWS Jordan IV’s released. It’s cool … we did too. With all the bots, trickery, fuckery, and confusion surrounding the release (just like any other hyped release), it was bound to happen.
Maybe you’ve moved on. Maybe you’re still salty. No matter how you’re feeling, we’re sure you’ll be glad to know what you can get a second crack at grabbing these beautiful shoes, and for retail (not $1,500 +) nonetheless.
That’s right, KAWS himself recently took to his personal Instagram page to announce that his highly-desired Jordan Brand collaboration would be re-releasing, and he’d be sending out details next week to all the folks on his email list, which you can sign up for on his website.
Realistically, there’s not a great chance that you’ll be able to cook on these jawns this time around either (how many people do you think are on the mailing list? How many do you think signed up just to have a shot at buying these?), but nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? Who knows, if you have enough good sneaker karma stored up, you just might be able to cook on a pair for retail.
So stay tuned to your inbox closely this next week, and cross your fingers too. Hopefully a stroke of good sneaker luck will be coming your way … and hopefully you’ll wear your kicks if you manage to cook.
What do you think of the KAWS Jordan IV re-release? Do you think the process will be simple, or will there be too many hoops to jump through?
