Top 5 Sneaker Releases This Weekend

It’s Friday, and a weekend full of heat is almost upon us. You’ll want to get your web browsers (and your wallets) ready, as there’s enough fire to burn down a residential neighborhood dropping these next few days. Here’s our five favorite shoes set to drop this weekend (today included), in order as always.

5. Colette x Asics Gel Lyte III “Dotty”

Asics continues to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their beloved Gel Lyte III silhouette by collaborating with France’s own Colette. Dubbed the “Dotty” this pair adorns the classic with white and blue accents and an all-over polka dot print.

4. Wale x Villa x Asics Gel Lyte III “Bottle Rocket”

An overrated rapper teamed up with a somewhat corny chain sneaker “boutique”….and to the surprise of many, they actually cranked out a pretty dope pair of Gel Lyte III’s. The red and blue bottle-rocket inspired accents work well with the 3M hits on the black base for a clean shoe you can wear well beyond the 4th of July.

3. Jordan “MTM” Pack

Although these are two different shoes, they’re coming in a pack so we’re counting them as one. Designed by Mark Parker, Tinker Hatfield, and Michael Jordan (and originally given to the POTUS himself during his visit to Nike headquarters), the MTM pack swaps each shoe’s signature materials, giving the XX9 a buttery leather makeover, and the I a woven, futuristic look.

2. Air Jordan I Retro High O.G. “Shattered Backboard”

MJ broke a backboard with a dunk during an exhibition game in Italy in 1985, and now, 30 years later, we have a Jordan I inspired by the uniforms Mike’s team wore during that game. Super premium materials, and a clean colorway guarantee that these will be a hit.

1. Adidas Yeezy Boost 350

We love Jordan I’s here at KicksOneTwo, and almost any other weekend the Shattered Backboards would take the top spot…but Kanye‘s new sneaker is dropping this weekend, and nothing else could take it’s #1 spot. The Boost 35o features a Primeknit upper inspired by moccasins, and full-length boost cushioning in the midsole to guarantee comfort. If you’re trying to grab these this weekend…may the force be with you.

So there you have it, the top 5 sneaker releases this weekend. Did we nail it? Is our order wrong? Is there a shoe that got snubbed? Feel free to drop a comment or hit us on Twitter and let us know!
