We’re unabashed A$AP Rocky fans here at KicksOneTwo. As far as we’re concerned, Lord Flacko can do no wrong in fashion or music. So you already know that we’ve been loving what we’ve seen of his collaboration with Guess. Including oversized denim jackets, striped t-shirts and overalls plus much more, the collection is set to hit stores on February 16th. Haven’t seen any of the pieces yet? What makes this collection so great is that it’s a tastefully-done nod to Guess’s glory days in the 90’s. Flacko himself said that he feels Guess and their impact on hip-hop culture was under appreciated and he wanted to bring more light to them and the era he grew up in.
Any 90’s baby can appreciate that. What’s more 90’s than a pair of denim overalls or a striped Guess tee just like the one Caine wore in Menace II Society? Not a whole hell of a lot, that’s what. From what we’ve seen, the striped tees will be available in a plethora of colors (possibly even some turtlenecks), and the only difference between the Rocky collaboration and the originals will be that the two S’s at the end of Guess will be replaced with dollar signs (Gue$$ if you couldn’t picture it already).
So we’ll be waiting with bated breath until February 16th. Striped tee SZN will be in full effect no matter how cold it may get then. Collaboration of 2016? It’s an early contender.
