You were probably like us today. On your computer, frantically typing in your info to secure your tickets to the live-stream premiere of Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3 and new album “Waves” (assuming he doesn’t change the title again) from Madison Square Garden.
Maybe you just copped the ticket. Maybe you copped a ticket/album package. Maybe you copped the ticket/album/t-shirt package (that’s what I grabbed). Maybe you balled out and got the full “Yeezy” package (ticket, album, tee, hoodie, and jean jacket).
Whatever you got, we’d bet that you’re very excited. Every time Kanye puts on something of this magnitude, it’s always dope. February 11th is shaping up to be a monumental day for street culture. Yeezy season 1 was arguably the most-discussed clothing line of 2015, and Kanye stans have been patiently waiting for “Waves” for what seems like forever.
Theaters all around the metro area are showing the live stream, which is a step up as for Season 2 there was only one. It’s an event. The first major one of the year. Forget the Super Bowl…this is ‘Ye we’re talking about here.
It’s a two-in-one. What’s not to love? You get the premiere of a new fashion line and a new album, all for the price of one ticket. If you’re a fan of street culture or Kanye’s music, you really don’t have an excuse to not be there. If you work, you can call in sick. If you’ve got other responsibilities, go ahead and put them aside. You know this is something that you want to be at.
