When the two titans of industry, one of street culture and the other of performance outerwear come together, you already know it’s bound to be something dope. There’s a lot of history between the two brands, as they’ve been collaborating since F/W 2007, and a proper ranking of the collabs is in order…so today we’re bringing you the 5 best Supreme x North Face collabs. Let’s get it.
5. F/W 2013
Kicking off the list with a little faux fur heat. The F/W 2013 collab consisted of a Nuptse jacket and vest with a faux rabbit fur print that was so convincing, it looked real from a distance. Nothing better if you want to look like a luxe gawd.
4. S/S 2013
It’s safe to say that 2013 was a pretty damn good year for Supreme x TNF collabs. The Mountain Parka with an all 3M shell was way ahead of the all 3M everything wave (classic Supreme fashion, beating the curve), and the silver/red jacket still turns heads in 2016…especially if someone wants to take your picture.
3. S/S 2010
Back again for the very first time. Supreme and TNF took a 2-year hiatus before this collection was released, but came back with one of their very best offerings. 3 crazy Expedition pullovers were made available…and really, could you ask for a better light jacket? All black, red and blue, and duck camo? No matter your preference, your jacket game was on ten if you were lucky enough to get your hands on one of these.
2. F/W 2008
Remember how we said Supreme stays ahead of the curve? The F/W 2008 TNF collection was normcore before normcore was even a word. Can you internet kids imagine that? The Denali fleece, a favorite of dads, suburban girls, and (when it’s associated with Supreme) jawnz aficionados everywhere was offered in 3 different 90’s-inspired colorways, and the only Supreme branding was a little patch on the right sleeve. Simple is perfect sometimes.
1. F/W 2011
Could anything else really take the #1 spot? Some of the most coveted Supreme outerwear ever produced, the F/W 2011 collection adorned the Nuptse puffer jacket in all-over leopard print. Worn by everyone from Drake to A$AP Rocky, this jacket is the pinnacle of Supreme & TNF collaborations, and is a timeless piece.
