Who’d ever have thought that a Yeezy release could get lost in the sauce?
It was announced earlier this week that a new 350 Boost would be hitting shelves in both men’s and kid’s sizes February 11th, but that news was overshadowed by the all-consuming Supreme x Louis Vuitton drop.
Now that everything’s returned to normal (somewhat, at least), we can focus on these new Yeezys. We’re not sure what we’re supposed to call them, as they’re technically the second version of the second 350 (so they’re the V2 V2 or V2.2 or the v4 or something like that), but we do know one thing off the jump: we like them.
They’re very simple and straightforwards, just like the first 350. Gone is the large midfoot stripe, in is a simple “SPLY-350” hit and contrast stitching on the heel tabs for a little bit of pop. At first glance, they’re very clean and wearable, and there seem to be endless colorway opportunities (a black base with any color of lettering you can imagine).
Will we see these in lighter colorways as we draw closer to the spring months (they’re close, right), or will they stick to a black base only? We don’t know, but we’re excited to see where this might go next. We’re always game for a comfortable, wearable shoe … especially if it’s co-signed by Kanye himself. We’ll be honest though: we really hope these drop in white at some point.
What do you think of the new V2’s releasing in February? Do you like them better than the first batch, or are the first V2’s still your favorites?
