Starting Five: KicksOneTwo Founder Ross Dwyer

Welcome to the first post of a new segment we’re excited to bring to you: the Starting Five.

The idea behind the Starting Five is to showcase the five sneakers that are in someone’s rotation, and give them a chance to explain why they’ve been rocking said sneakers so much.

I thought I’d get everything started, so here are the five kicks that are currently in my rotation!

flyknit trainer

1. Nike Flyknit Trainer: Flyknit has become my favorite Nike technology. These are a great summer shoe, very lightweight and comfy. The all-over multicolor Flyknit upper really works with any type of fit.

2. Nike Free Flyknit 4.0: Flyknit’s so nice…I had to do it twice. Terrible rhymes aside, another great sneaker. This Finish Line exclusive with the multicolor Flyknit upper is the best of the several colors that recently released in my opinion. Light as a feather, and perfect for summer.

marbled roshe

3. Nike Roshe Run: I’m really on this “lightweight and comfy” tip with these first few sneakers, but that’s what I’m aiming for this summer. Red kicks have been taking over recently, and the marbled midsole gives this Roshe a unique look.

4. Vans Sk8-Hi “Della”

You just can’t go wrong with the Sk8-Hi. One of my favorite sneakers of all time. Goes great with shorts or pants, and you can’t beat the price. I really enjoy the unique pattern on the upper..and they came with rope laces too.

jordan 1 bred

5. Jordan 1 “Bred”

Not much that needs to be said about this sneaker. Just a classic. You can dog em’ half to death and they’ll still look great. My favorite Jordan of all time, hands down.
