Thoughts On This Weekend’s Releases

It’s a pretty diverse release weekend we have upon us here. From the triple-black Foamposite to the new Flyknit Roshes, there’s something for almost everyone dropping this weekend. Here’s my thoughts on my top 5 kicks (in order) that released yesterday or are releasing this weekend.

Honorable Mention: Nike Air Foamposite 1 “Black Suede

All-black kicks are always a solid move in the fall and winter months, and these triple-black foams are hard to go wrong with. Although they aren’t quite as dope as the “Stealth” foams, these should still find a place in the collection of many foam-heads.

5. The Distinct Life x Reebok GL6000

Frank The Butcher and Rick Williams of Burn Rubber have done it again. Their company, The Distinct Life, has teamed up with Reebok to drop a dope GL6000 model. The black leather upper embossed with their signature camouflage is crazy, and you can never go wrong with a gum sole.

4. Nike Kobe 9 EM “China”

Lowtop Kobe 9’s are a really dope sneaker, and the “China” edition might just be one of the best yet. With a vibrant red and gold upper, as well as a speckled midsole and XDR tooling on the outsole, these are crazy. Kobe himself would be proud.

3.  Nike Dunk SB High “Cali”

Nike SB continues to dig into the vault and produce high-top versions of old low-top classics. With the vast success of the high-top Tiffany dunks earlier this year, we now get a chance to grab the classic “Cali” dunk in high-top form.

2. Nike Flyknit Roshe Run “Black-Neo Turquoise”

Flyknit might just be the best Nike technology on the market, and when you pair it with a dope shoe like the Roshe Run? Game over. Although it was a hard choice between the black and the blue pair, you can never go wrong with black.

1. Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lite V “Sage”

He’s done it again. Ronnie Fieg has just knocked it out of the park on his latest Asics collaboration. It was a close battle between the “Sage” and the “Rose Gold” for the #1 spot, but the “Sage” won by a hair. With an upper made of pigskin suede, and a weightless midsole, these are an absolute home run. Good luck grabbing them on the Kith website today!
