We’ve got a weekend full of heat ahead of us (we even listed what day each shoe is dropping in the descriptions), and the time is right for another edition of Top 5 Sneaker Releases This Weekend. Get your credit cards, Paypal accounts, and bots ready to go. Let’s get right into it.
5. Bait x Asics Gel Lyte III “Nightmare” (Saturday)
Longtime Asics collaborator Bait comes correct with their latest Gel Lyte III. Featuring an upper constructed of premium materials, subtle hits of 3M, and a speckled midsole/translucent outsole, this is one of the cleanest Gel Lyte III collaborations in recent memory.
4. Air Jordan XI Low IE “Referee” (Saturday)
Originally made for NBA referees in the mid 90’s, this color way of the XI Low IE’s will see its first retail release this Saturday. An all-black upper with a black midsole (and red accents on the tongue and carbon fiber plate) makes for a super-clean fall sneaker.
3. Aape By A Bathing Ape x Reebok Pump Omni Lite (Saturday)
The KicksOneTwo staff are suckers for anything Bape related, so you already know we love these Pump Omni Lites. A clean camo design covers the patent leather upper, and bold Aape branding on the heel seals the deal on a crazy sneaker. You’ve gotta leave the ape face hangtag on these joints too.
2. Ronnie Fieg x Highsnobiety x Puma “A Tale Of Two Cities” R698 (Friday)
Ronnie Fieg has joined forces with Highsnobiety and Puma to create two sneakers celebrating the 10th anniversary of Highsnobiety. Although the Blaze Of Glory he designed is clean, the R698 is even better. It takes the classic silhouette and modernizes it with an inner bootie and a quilted upper. The hit of red on the heel gives the shoe just enough flair without taking away from the muted look of the rest of the sneaker. One of Ronnie’s cleanest designs in recent memory.
1. Air Jordan I Pinnacle “Vachetta Tan” (Saturday)
What else could be #1 this weekend? It’s rare a shoe this simple and beautiful is released, and these Hender Scheme-inspired Jordan 1’s take the top spot by a mile in a weekend full of heat. With a super clean, super premium leather upper sitting on top of an off-white Jordan I midsole, this is the cleanest Pinnacle yet. Nothing else even comes close.
So there you have it. This weekend’s top sneaker releases. Is our list right? Would you re-arrange it? Did we leave something off that should have been on? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter, and be sure to follow us on Instagram for dope sneaker pictures daily!
