What’s good KicksOneTwo fam? Hope your Sunday is treating you well, and you’re relaxed af. It’s that time again. Time for a new edition of Sunday Sneaker Ramblings, where I briefly share my thoughts on the biggest news in sneakers the past week. Let’s get it.
I bet you’re thinking I’m going to go into detail about the Yeezy Season 3 footwear. Well, you’re in for a surprise: I’m not. I wrote about it plenty last week, and if you want to hear about it, scroll back through this week’s articles and check it out. Everything’s discussed in depth there.
Now that that’s out of the way, how about the return of the IX’s this holiday season? You really can never go wrong with an OG colorway, and although I’m not the biggest fan of the IX’s, that’s a pair I might have to scoop. Jordan Brand better continue to announce bangers like these if they want to keep pace with Adidas and Kanye.
Speaking of Adidas, you’ve got to love their new NMD Runners, and the announcement was made this past week that they’d be available in full family sizes. Now you, mom dukes, your brother, your sister, and your annoying next door neighbor can all be kitted out. A dope silhouette and boost foam for all? You’ve got to love it.
And finally, let’s touch on some more serious news. Nike severed ties with Manny Pacquiao this past week after his anti-gay tirade on Instagram. Now believe me, I’m all for free speech. Your opinion is your opinion, and even if it’s bigoted and stupid (like his is), you’re entitled to it. However, you take it too far when you’re posting bible verses and making outrageous statements on social media. You can feel however you want, but some feelings you should probably keep to yourself (especially when you’re in the public eye), and I think that Pac-Man is probably regretting opening his mouth and making the stupid remarks that he did.
That’s about all for this week. Yet another week dominated by Kanye. Will it end any time soon? I don’t think so.
