Our 3 Favorite NMD’s From The Massive Upcoming Drop

adidas-store-4

The NMD Judgement day is almost upon us.

On August 18th, Adidas will be releasing 19 (yeah, that’s right … 19. Can you believe it?) colorways of their wildly popular NMD silhouette. Both the original NMD R1 and the new NMD XR1 will be dropping in men’s and women’s … so there’s literally something for everyone.

With that much heat dropping on one day, we thought it would be only right to break it down into a top 3, and after several hours of hand-wringing, head-scratching, and careful thought, we were able to do just that. Here’s our 3 favorite NMD’s from this massive restock.

3. NMD XR1 “Olive”

We’ve got to be 100% honest … we prefer the R1 to the XR1 by a long shot. However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some fire colorways of the XR1, and this all-olive pair takes the cake. You can never really go wrong with a simple, clean, earth tone, and this shoe is proof of just that.

2. NMD R1 “White/Black”

The all-white NMD’s have been one of our favorite Adidas releases of 2016, so you already knew we’d love these white/black joints. Just as clean as the others, but with a slight pop of black to change it up just enough? Perfect. This is a shoe that can slide into anyone’s sneaker rotation with the greatest ease.

1. NMD R1 “Bred Pack”

Jordan isn’t the only shoe brand that can do black, white, and red (even though they are still the kings). This R1 is the best shoe out of the 19 releasing, and although the other Bred Pack colorway is crispy too (red, white, and black), it doesn’t hold a candle to these. Clean, simple, and eloquent, but just loud enough to turn heads. That’s what a sneaker like this is really all about.
