A lot of sneaker heads are product nerds … and who can blame us? It’s dope learning about the different materials that go into a shoe, what they do, and how the shoes themselves are constructed. There’s a myriad of different technologies on the market, and each offers their own special benefits.
We’re betting that if you’re here reading this article, you know a good amount about technology. You understand the difference between Air Max and Zoom Air. You know what makes Boost foam so great. But have you ever seen what a shoe looks like when it’s been completely cut open? What the difference between an older release and a newer release is on the inside?
Well if you’re curious, then you’re in luck. Sole Collector recently posted a new video in which they hack open several Air Maxes and even some Yeezy 350’s with a buzzsaw and dissect what’s inside. Check the video out below!
Wonder what’s inside your shoes? We’re about to saw some in half and find out.

Although it’s difficult to watch jawnz get destroyed, it’s fascinating to see what the guts of the shoe look like. Sole Collector promises to do more different shoes in the future, so we’ll get a chance to see what the innards of a bunch of different kicks look like. Plus, who doesn’t like an opportunity to cringe at a pair of expensive Yeezys getting ruined? That hurts a bit to watch.
