It’s a big day for the culture today. There’s a Supreme drop, featuring a Dash Snow collab. Palace has a drop in the evening. And most importantly, Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 4 show will be premiering live on Tidal at 3PM ET (that’s 2 PM Minneapolis time for those of you who don’t understand time zones).
No matter if you love or hate ‘Ye, you can’t deny that his Yeezy Season shows are a big deal. The industry turns out en masse, and it seems that the whole world stops what they’re doing to watch his fashion shows. There’s a lot of controversy surrounding this one, as the Internet seems to be in an uproar over his casting call for “bi-racial models”, and he’ll be premiering his much-discussed kids line as well.
We’d be lying if we said that we weren’t a little bummed that it won’t be a grand spectacle like Yeezy Season 3’s theater worldwide live stream was (the theater we were in was packed), but you might want to go ahead and grab yourself a Tidal subscription if you want to see what goes on first-hand. Hell, you can always just cancel it right after the show’s over anyway.
We’ll see some new clothes (and hopefully new shoes). We’re sure to see many a celebrity guest … and maybe if we’re lucky we’ll even get blessed with some new music (Turbo Grafix 16, anyone?). Whatever happens, you already know that it’s going to be a memorable event, and one you won’t want to miss, so be sure to get Tidal (or your favorite pirate website if you’re about that life) ready to go tomorrow afternoon. Yeezy season approaches.
