Concepts makes a strong case for the “best sneaker retailer in the U.S.” crown. Deon Point and the rest of the team changed the game with their vision, unique style, and product presentation (nobody comes up with better … well … concepts for releases than they do).
Starting off with a retail location in Boston, and then expanding into a highly successful New York shop as well, Concepts is certainly on the up-and-up, but they’ll be making their biggest power move yet, as their brand-new store in Dubai will be opening this week.
That’s right. Dubai. As in United Arab Emirates Dubai. A place of vast culture and wealth, and the newest home for a Concepts retail location. With a store spanning several thousand square feet in the City Walk neighborhood, one of Dubai’s busiest areas, it’s sure to be a success.
And they’re not just doing a soft opening either. They’ll be pulling up at Sole DXB, Dubai’s premier sneaker event (yes, that’s a thing) with an exhibit of their extensive history of collaborations, as well as two special logo Concepts tees that you can only purchase at the event. That’s how you ring in a new store with a bang and set yourself up for success … can you imagine what Concepts heads will be willing to do to get their hands on one of those tees or check out the retrospective?
Only time will tell what will happen at Concepts’s newest location (we’re hoping for some fire shop-exclusive collars), but if their past history is any indication, this shop will be around to stay.
