International Steez: Concepts Is Headed To Dubai
Concepts makes a strong case for the “best sneaker retailer in the U.S.” crown. Deon Point and the rest of the team changed the game with their vision, unique style, and product presentation (nobody comes up with better … well … concepts for releases than they do).
Starting off with a retail location in Boston, and then expanding into a highly successful New York shop as well, Concepts is certainly on the up-and-up, but they’ll be making their biggest power move yet, as their brand-new store in Dubai will be opening this week.

The Hundreds x Death Row Records Is One Of The Best Collabs Of The Year
The Hundreds and Death Row Records are two brands that have a powerful name and a lot of history. They each have an ardent following and a great backstory, so it makes a lot of sense that they’d come together for a collab to celebrate Death Row’s 25th anniversary.
Yes, that’s right. It’s been 25 years since Death Row was founded and gave us acts such as Tupac, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg. The legendary record label hasn’t had any real clout in quite a while, but the name is still as strong as ever, and their logos still bring hip-hop heads back to another time.

November 23rd: a day that will go down in sneaker history.
Let’s be honest here: pretty much any day with a Yeezy release will go down in sneaker history at this point, but November 23rd is going to be special. There’s not just one Yeezy release that day … there’s three.
Yes, you read that right. Three Yeezy releases. Three different colorways of the most hyped, desirable sneaker on the market. Can the game handle it? Well, we’re about to see as judgement day is less than a week away. Three Boosts, one day. Can the game handle it?

When Is The Cost Of Shipping Too Damn High?
Any connoisseur of sneakers and streetcar knows that shipping can get expensive quick. Most of what they cop is online, so a shipping fee is just part of the deal. Yeah, it sucks … but there’s not really much you can do about it. You want to get your jawns right? If you do, then you’ve gotta pay that shipping cost. There’s really no way around it.
But when does a shipping charge get too high? When does it go from a pure inconvenience to something more? That depends.
A typical shipping charge is a flat $10, no matter what’s being shipped or how much it weighs. This is a little steep, but it’s an industry standard, practiced by Supreme and Kith among others, so it’s not the worst thing in the world. Other companies will offer flat rate shipping for $6.99, and some companies are even willing to toss you free shipping on certain items. All these options range from reasonable to good.

The NMD R2 Has Arrived
If you had to pick one sneaker to put in the history books that best represented 2016, it would have to be the Adidas NMD. The lightweight, casual, comfy sneaker ran the game in a way that sneaker companies can only dream of. Everyone from the fashion-forwards set to the high school kids loved it, and it shows no signs of losing steam. Adidas could sit pat on it (just like Nike did with the Roshe), and it would continue to sell.
But they’re not doing that. They’re innovating, like they’ve been doing so well the past few years. The NMD R2 was officially unveiled this week, and it expands on what was so great about the first model. Gone are the plugs on the midsole. In is heel padding, a tighter ankle, and woven-in laces. Yeah, we’re bout it.

Is Nike’s Pink Box Their Best SB Box Ever?
Nike’s been through a lot of boxes in their time in the sneaker world. The classic orange box. The red box with the large, bold “NIKE” graphic on the top. The light brown sportswear boxes. Many an SB box, from gold to green to tan. Yeah, there’s a lot of variety. If you’ve been collecting for several years, there’s a good chance your sneaker stacks have many colors of boxes in them.
But we’d have to say, of all the boxes Nike’s released over their history, the pink box just might be the very best. Introduced back in 2005, the pink box (can’t help but chuckle every time we say that … yes, we’re extremely immature) housed many a heater Nike SB Dunk in its short-lived run, and is now back, as the “Pink Box” Dunks are set to release this Black Friday.

You might not want to spend any extra money this weekend.

Spread A Little Love In The Sneaker World
It’s a trying time in the world right now. There’s a lot of sorrow, hurt, frustration, and anger. Many of the issues facing our society today can’t be solved easily. They require a lot of thought, compromises, and discussion. It’s been a tough year.
In times like these, the best thing we can do is come together. Show love to one another. Let each other know that we mean something, and that we’re loved and appreciated. It won’t fix everything … but it’s a start. A way to begin building towards something greater and brighter days on the horizon.
