Sunday Sneaker Ramblings Vol XIII

We’re back.

It’s been a while. Since September, to be exact. Welcome back to Sunday Sneaker Ramblings, where we briefly share our thoughts on everything that went on in our culture this past week, from rumors to releases to drama and more. Let’s get right to it.

First off: Pure Money is back. It was announced on Friday that the Pure Money IV’s would be re-releasing in May, just in time for the summer months. These are one of the cleanest Jordan IV’s ever … and are absolutely perfect for warm weather, so you already know we’re excited.

In performance shoe news, Paul George debuted his first ever signature shoe, the PG1 when the Pacers played in London this past week. He didn’t have the greatest game while wearing his new kicks (hopefully not a sign of things to come), but initial reviews on the shoes from critics were positive. No official release date has been announced yet … but we’re fans. They look like they draw inspiration from the Kobe line, and the $110 price point is nice as well.

All the hypebeasts lost their minds when the Supreme Uptempos were officially announced. We’re fans, but like we mentioned in our article on the announcement, we preferred last season’s Air Max 98’s.

In the biggest release news of the week, the NMD R1 “OG” dropped yesterday, and were an instant sell-out. Like we mentioned, we’re not fans of such a new shoe being referred to as an “OG”, but these are a great shoe, and will be one of the best (re) releases of 2017 when it’s all said and done.

All in all, a pretty interesting week in sneakers. What was the most important sneaker news of the week in your opinion?
