Have Jordan “Lifestyle” Shoes Ever Not Been Trash?

Jordan Brand: makers of the great, and the terrible. They’re no stranger to the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Unfortunately, we’re discussing the lowest of lows today. To be more specific, we’re asking this: have Jordan “lifestyle” shoes ever not been trash?

The Jordan Express (pictured above) was recently announced, and it’s yet another lifestyle brick from a brand that’s produced some of the best shoes of all time. They’re “inspired” by the Jordan IV’s, but we’d be lying if we said we saw the similarities.

You see, Jordan’s “lifestyle” shoes are always “inspired” by their other models, but they’ve never been able to capture the same magic. It’s like Family Guy and American Dad: American Dad is clearly “inspired” by Family Guy, but it’s flat-out not funny or enjoyable (fight us). The same goes for any Jordan “lifestyle” shoes. The retros are the A-team, and the lifestyle shoes are the B (or sometimes even C) team.

We wouldn’t bank on it due to their history (True Flight, SC3, etc), but we can only hope that Jordan Brand can step up their lifestyle designs sooner rather than later. Maybe if they try new and fresh designs instead of trying to make inferior versions of classic shoes, it’ll happen though. You’ve gotta keep the faith sometimes, right? We’ll just have to wait and see … but we don’t think the shoes can get much worse at this point.

What do you think of Jordan Brand’s lifestyle shoes? Do you think they’re as horrible as we do, or do you like them? Hit us up and let us know in the comments or on Twitter, check our Facebook page for daily updates, and, as always, be sure to follow us on Instagram for all the fire sneaker pictures you can handle.
