The 10 Best Pieces From Supreme’s S/S ’18 Collection

No more anticipation. No more guessing games (even though several of our predictions have already been confirmed as truth). No more “what if’s”. Supreme S/S ’18 is finally officially upon us, and we couldn’t be more excited. The official lookbook and preview arrived Monday. The clothes themselves? The first release from Supreme’s S/S collection drops in-store on February 15th, and online February 22nd.

Under new lead designer Max Vanderwoude Gross, Supreme has delivered yet another solid season with a healthy mix of looks both old and new, and pieces both loud and subtle. Some items are immediate head turners while others are meant to be appreciated quietly, but one thing’s for certain: it’s a very solid collection with an extremely minimal amount of weak links.

Now that a bulk of this season’s pieces have been revealed, we’ve whittled all of them down to our ten favorites thus far. We’re sure that there will be many more new pieces we love as the season goes on, but Supreme always keeps their cards close to their chest … so we’ll just have to wait and see what else they’ve got cooking. Also: the pieces on this list are in no particular order, they’re simply grouped by type.

So without further ado, we present to you our top 10 pieces from Supreme’s S/S ’18 collection. Let the season begin.

Honorable Mention: Mom S/S Top

Love your mom. How can you not rock with a simple, clean shirt that pays homage to the most important person in the world? To make things even better, this piece isn’t a simple tee. It’s a knit top, so you get a heavier, thicker, higher-quality cotton than you’d find on a regular Supreme tee, which only makes sense because moms deserve nothing less than the very best.

Prodigy Tee

R.I.P. Prodigy. The legendary Queens MC, who had a long-standing relationship with Supreme, dating back to 2011 when he was featured on one of their infamous photo tees passed away in June of 2017. This season Supreme is paying homage to him with a tee inspired by the sketches of famous caricature artist Al Hirschfeld. If you look closely, you’ll even notice he’s wearing the infamous Supreme “Hennessy” hockey jersey, a clever nod to one of the brand’s most iconic pieces. This tee is a great way to pay homage to a fallen legend.

Playboy Soccer Jersey

Supreme and Playboy’s yearly collaboration does not disappoint, as this striped soccer jersey is one of the best pieces the two have released in several years, perfect for wearing as a standalone piece or layering. The vertical stripes provide a look that’s clean and simple but just flashy enough for showing out in the summer, and the straightforward logo hits on the chest lets everyone know exactly what you’re rocking.

Old English Corduroy Varsity Jacket

We’re trying hard to not show too much favoritism to any one item on this list … but if you forced us to pick, this corduroy varsity jacket just might be our favorite piece from Supreme’s S/S ’18 collection. The diagonal Olde English logo, contrasting striped cuffs and collar, and the cross hit on the front right pocket offsetting the slant of the aforementioned logo? Beautiful. The more corduroy, color, and embroidery the better. Don’t be surprised if this jacket becomes an instant classic upon its release.

Vibrations Corduroy Trucker

There’s lots of corduroy making an appearance this season (possibly inspired by lead designer Max Vanderwoude Gross’s own brand Proper Gang?), and we’re all for it. The Vibrations trucker is a great piece for Supreme fans both young and old, offering a loud all-over print that’s toned down with a monochromatic color scheme, making for the perfect blend of flash and street elegance. Dress it up or dress it down … the choice is yours

Patches Denim Trucker Jacket

Typically it’s better to put your own patches on your jacket instead of buying one that’s already been pre-adorned,  but when Supreme offers to do your patches for you, you’ve gotta say yes. This denim jacket is big, bold, and offers an unapologetic in-your-face punk rock aesthetic. If you can deal with “fuck” being plastered all over your jacket, this is a terrific piece for you that’s bound to turn heads and drop jaws wherever you go.

Skull Pile Work Jacket

One of the most hyped designs of the season due to its association with Juicy J, who wore a skulls graphic tee in the classic Stay Fly video circa 2005 and Travis Scott who brought the graphic back to grail status recently, Liquid Blue’s beloved skulls print adorns a number of items this season from a hoodie to a bandanna … but the work jacket is the best of the bunch. It’s not an easy piece to wear, but if you can manage to pull a fit off with this jacket it’s guaranteed to be a banger.

Schott Suede A2 Jacket

Supreme and Schott are mainly know for their high-priced, high-quality leather jacket collaborations, but sometimes they dabble in other premium pieces like this rich suede jacket. It’ll cost you a pretty penny, but if you’ve got the money to spare it’s a must-have. A classic jacket like this will never go out of style, and will age wonderfully to boot.

Suit

Only a brand like Supreme could add a little attitude to a simple suit. This wool jacket and pants appears to be light enough for the summer but heavy enough for the winter, and just might give graphic tee and hoodie loving customers reason to get dressed up. Plus, you can’t tell us this green masterpiece wouldn’t look great with a fresh pair of kicks.

Alphabet Silk Pant

One of the more clever items of Supreme’s S/S ’18 season, the alphabet silk pants offer you a rare opportunity to wear a garment that says “fuck” and still remain somewhat low-key, as you have to really look to catch the world. Want to be rebellious and piss a few people off but can’t convince yourself to buy the patches denim jacket? Grab these cheeky silk pants instead.

Diagonal Stripe Nylon Hat

Very loud, very 90’s and extremely fun, the diagonal stripe hat is the best hat that Supreme will be releasing this season. Perfect for aspiring roadmen and 90’s fashion lovers alike, this hat’s a great way to add some noise and color into your outfit, unless you’d rather keep it simple with the more muted all-black colorway.
