What You Can Expect To Hear Every Yeezy Release

YZY SZN is upon us agin.

This Saturday, the “Triple Black” Yeezy 750 Boost will be hitting retailers, and the pandemonium that swirls around every Yeezy release is in full effect. By and large, you’re going to be hearing the same things every time a new pair of Yeezys drop, so we thought we’d list some of our favorites for you.

“Nobody I know won a pair and I know (insert greatly exaggerated number) people. How did this happen?”

We don’t know. You tell us. Maybe the raffles actually were rigged, and your conspiracy theories were right all along. Maybe you and everyone you know has really shitty luck. Maybe you don’t actually know that many people at all, and just like to amp. Whatever it is, nobody knows how it happened.

“Yeezus hates me. He keeps handing me L’s. I never get any Kanye releases”

Yeezus doesn’t hate you. Ok, maybe he heard you talking shit about Yeezy Season 1, or maybe he heard you mocking his style choices and then saw you blatantly copying them 6 months later, but it’s still unlikely that he hates you. And newsflash: Everyone gets handed L’s in the sneaker game. There’s a good chance that if you’ve been doing it long enough, you’ve got enough L’s to fill up a whole room. Comes with the turf.

“I WON! OH MY GOD, I WON! I NEVER WIN ANYTHING! ALL PRASE TO YEEZUS”

Good on you if this is what you’re saying Saturday morning (assuming you copped to rock and not resell of course). If your sneaker karma is right (or you’ve got a really fast bot), this just might be you, and we hope it is. Copping a pair of Yeezys is a big life accomplishment. It’s like graduating from college, getting married, or retiring. Yes, it’s that big of a deal.

What phrases do you hear frequently on Yeezy release day? Have you said anything along these lines during any past releases? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter, and as always, be sure to follow us on Instagram for all the fire sneaker pictures you can handle.
