Jawnz On Point: How To Take A Solid Ouftit Grid Pic

FullSizeRender

You’ve got some fire jawnz. You know how to put those fire jawnz together to make a dope outfit. People always compliment you on your style, and you want a chance to show more people what you’re rocking on a day-to-day basis, whether it’s on Instagram or Snapchat.

There are a few basic principals to doing this correctly, and as we here at KicksOneTwo like to consider ourselves borderline masters when it comes to snapping pictures of our jawnz, we figured we’d be the right people to bring them to you. Without further ado, here’s what you need to do to ensure that you take a solid outfit grid pic:

Have A Solid Background

Having your clothes lying on a dirty carpet is not the key to success when it comes to taking a fire outfit pic. Wood is optimal (shouts to you if you’ve got hardwood floors), but if that’s not possible, tile will suffice as well. Keeping the background clean and simple is essential.

Keep Everything In Order

No matter how fire your jawnz may be, they won’t look good if they’re just thrown in a random assortment for the picture. Try to lay them out in a square or rectangular pattern, and make sure they’re organized in importance to the fit. Keep the important pieces like the shirt and shoes displayed prominently, and fit the accessories in the dead space between the main pieces.

No Shadows

This is a pretty simple piece of advice, but one that seems to go unheeded far too often. You don’t want you shadow falling over your picture and messing it up. When you take the picture, you’ll likely be standing right above your jawnz, so be sure that you angle your body in such a way as to not cast a shadow over your picture. Let your jawnz be fully illuminated.

Make Sure The Picture Isn’t Too “Busy”

The easiest way to mess up an outfit pic is to put way too many things in there. You don’t need to put your wallet, keychain, pack of cigarettes, or whatever other little trinkets you might have on you in your picture. It’s supposed to be about your clothes and your accessories, so make sure that you keep it that way. Your outfit pic isn’t an “essentials” post, and shouldn’t be treated as such.

Break Out Your Most Fire Jawnz

Last but certainly not least, be sure to break out your most fire jawnz. The point of the picture is to show everyone what you’re rocking on a given day, right? Don’t take the picture the day you decided to just rock the Tech Fleece sweatsuit and some beaters (though there’s nothing wrong with that as a lazy day fit). Break out the most fire jawnz you have for the picture. There’s always a little bit of flexing involved with the outfit pic, so you might as well come as correct as you possibly can.
