Is Anything Better Than Boost?

We’re product nerds here at KicksOneTwo. We like finding about what exactly goes into a shoe and how various sneaker technologies work.

One of our favorite things about shoes are the cushioning systems used. From Max Air to Lunarlon, to Zoom Air, to DMX, to Bounce, we love it all. We’d be hard-pressed to pick a favorite, but if you made us choose … we’d have to go with Boost.

That’s right, Boost. Adidas’s revolutionary cushioning system, designed in partnership with NASA. It’s billed as a “revolutionary cushioning system that returns more energy per foot strike than traditional EVA foam”. It’s also more resilient than standard foam, and will not lose its cushioning after multiple wears. Adidas promises that no matter the temperature or conditions, Boost will be the softest and most comfortable ride available, and we’d have to agree with that statement.

Haven’t had the joy of trying on a shoe with Boost foam yet? Imagine Nike’s Lunarlon, except slightly softer-feeling but just as responsive. That’s what it feels like. Plus, it lasts. As mentioned in the paragraph above, it just doesn’t compress, and remains just as comfortable no matter if it’s your first wear or 100th wear (trust us, we’ve put in miles on our Ultra Boosts and the comfort is still on ten).

So if you haven’t tried a shoe with Boost yet, do yourself a favor and snag one. Your feet will feel the best they have in years … and you’ll be fashion-forwards too. What’s not to love?

What do you think of Boost foam? Do you own any Adidas shoes with Boost? If so, what’s your favorite? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter, check our Facebook page for daily updates, and, as always, be sure to follow us on Instagram for all the fire sneaker pictures you can handle.
