So you’re heading out to a sneaker photoshoot. You’re going to get high-quality pictures of your fire jawns, and you couldn’t be more excited. We know the feeling. Shooting with our friends for the KicksOneTwo Instagram is one of our favorite things to do, and since we’ve been doing it for a while, we thought we’d compile 5 things for you to bring to your sneaker photoshoot so that you have the best experience possible too. Let’s get right to it.
1. Multiple Pairs Of Kicks
This may seem like a no-brainer, but you want to be sure you bring multiple pairs of sneakers with you to your shoot. If you’ve only got the pair on your feet and a pair in your backpack, you’re not going to get a ton of content. Grab your duffle bag and throw 4-5 pairs in there, and be sure you wear a good pair too. Even though you might not love lugging the duffle bag around, you’ll be glad you did when the shoot is over and you get all the pictures back.
2. Your Favorite Pants
The pants you wear to your sneaker photoshoot are all-important. You’re probably not going to want to change pants mid-shoot, so be sure to rock a pair that works with all the kicks you brought, and fits well, be it a pair of slim Levis, Publish joggers, or Nike Tech Fleece sweats. Nobody wants to see your NikeTalk denim, so leave that at home.
3. Sneaker Wipes
Bringing some cleaning supplies to the shoot is all-important. You might have to stand or step in areas that aren’t the cleanest so your photographer can get the shot, so you need to be able to get your kicks clean afterwards. A pack of Jason Markk wipes can get the job done quickly and efficiently.
4. Water
You’ll usually be out during the day when the sun’s out … and a sneaker photoshoot is more tiring than you might think. Do yourself a favor and bring a bottle or two of water (preferably Voss of course) so you can stay hydrated through the whole process.
5. An Open Mind
Be sure to come to your shoot with an open mind! Got an idea for an angle? Speak it. Want to try something out? Go for it. The best shots come when you work together with your photographer to cook up something really dope. Be prepared to create and innovate, and you’ll be thrilled with the results.
