adidas Is Bringing Innovation To The Next Level With Their 4D Futurecraft Shoe

When it comes to any business, companies are always trying to out-innovate one another. Whoever can push out the latest, greatest, and most tech-filled products will capture the attention (and the pocket money) of the general public.

This is no different in sneakers. The two biggest athletic footwear companies in the world, Nike and adidas are engaged in a constant battle to see who can innovate more and bring the most futuristic technology to the general public, and adidas has struck a big blow in that battle with the recent announcement of their Futurecraft 4D sneaker. read more

The PG1 Is Helping Resurrect Nike Basketball

Nike Basketball is not what it used to be.

We’ve discussed this frequently here on KicksOneTwo. The resell value isn’t there, the designs aren’t as good, and until recently, most of the price points were too damn high. However, there’s a spark of hope for Nike, and it’s the signature shoe of a lanky, athletic Indiana Pacer, Paul George.

The PG1 hit the market recently, and it’s already won many a fan over with its clean, simple low-top design that doesn’t look way too techy (one of the major downfalls of the LeBron line in recent years), and its easily digestible price point ($110 for a signature sneaker? Have we gone back in time 10 years?). The shoe’s cool enough to wear in the streets, but performs wonderfully on the court too, as many of George’s Pacer teammates have labeled it the best sneaker they’ve ever played in. That’s a pretty damn good endorsement if we do say so ourselves. read more

Like NMD’s? Today’s Your Day

There’s a good chance you’re a fan of the adidas NMD. Since their initial release back in 2015, the NMD has become the go-to shoe for many a sneakerhead owing to its lightweight comfort and versatility (the hype around adidas helped too). It’s available in a multitude of colors and styles, and there’s an NMD out there for just about anyone.

The rough thing about the NMD though is it can sometimes be hard to cop. Due to its popularity, it tends to sell out fast, so if you’re not on top of things, you won’t be getting your pair. You’re in luck today though: adidas will be restocking 19 (that’s right, 19) colorways of their most popular shoe in men’s and women’s sizes. read more

The Jordan I Royal “Satin” Release Was Handled The Right Way

The Jordan I “Royal” release is officially in the books. The madness has died down, and the sneaker game is in a state of calm … at least until the next hyped release drops and gets everyone all gassed up again.

Now that some time has passed, we can look back upon the release with a different perspective. How was it handled? How did everything go? Pretty well, in fact. There was some fuckery, both from stores and customers, but that’s to be expected. Nothing too out of the ordinary. read more

The Best Design Didn’t Win Nike’s Air Max Day Contest

It’s been over a week since Nike’s Air Max Day contest ended, and we’re still salty about the results. Twelve “visionaries” entered, with only one poised to walk away as the winner … and the winner was Round Two head honcho Sean Wotherspoon with his vintage-inspired Air Max 97 and Air Max 1 hybrid pictured above. The only thing is … we don’t feel like he deserved to win.

Don’t get us wrong: we rock with Sean heavy. He seems like a really great guy who’s completely obsessed with his business (something we really respect), and his pair is cool too. But it’s not the coolest … and it seems as if he was a shoo-in to win from the start. read more

Can The Air Woven Be A Hit In 2017?

The Nike Air Woven. A shoe that was well ahead of its time when it originally released in 2000, and only in Japan. A shoe that offers a sleek look with a slip-on design that ensures it can be worn both with and without socks. A classic, innovative shoe in Nike’s catalog that was well ahead of its time.

Here we are in 2017, and the Air Woven is back. Upon its original release, it was somewhat of a niche shoe, as the style wasn’t really in at the time (think more chunky shoes like Air Force 1’s), but it’s developed a cult following over the years, and the sleek, minimalist style that it offered is very much in in 2017. read more

Ronnie Fieg Is Taking It Back To 1995 With His Gel Diablo

Spring is here … and the gawd Ronnie Fieg is back. He’s been quiet on the sneaker front since he blessed us with the adidas City Sock 2 a few weeks back, but gawds only stay quiet for so long, and Ronnie has spoken loudly with his latest collab, this new Asics Gel Diablo.

There’s a good chance that you have never heard of the Gel Diablo before, but that’s what Ronald does: he pulls old models out of the Asics vault and breathes new life into them. He’ll take a shoe that you’ve never heard of before, and make it relevant for the current day and age. read more

New Love For The New Love: A Classic Jordan I Is Making A Return

It’s been a decade since we discovered a new love. A new love for a dope Jordan I Mid (never thought you’d hear “dope” and “Jordan I Mid” in the same sentence, did you? that released way back in 2007 as part of the “Old Love, New Love” pack.

Yes, the “New Love” I mids are getting a retro, and we couldn’t be more hyped. The re-release isn’t 100% true to the original (of course), as it doesn’t feature the transparent plastic Wings logo on the ankle color, just a regular embossed one, and it doesn’t come laced up with the yellow strings … but at least that’s an easy fix. read more
