TODAY: TCSAX 7 at the Mayo Clinic Square

Today’s the day.

At noon, the Mayo Clinic Square (right by the Target Center) will be taken over by sneakerheads, music lovers, and artists as TCSAX 7 is finally upon us. Got your ticket already? Good on you. Don’t have your ticket yet? There’ll be a limited amount of tickets at the door.

Come out! The sneaker community doesn’t gather en masse frequently, so it’s important to show up. You’ll get a chance to see your friends as well as meet some new people, and there’s a good chance you’ll be leaving with a new pair of kicks or some gear. Vendors like Create Karma and Vintage Pooleboy will have tables of dope stuff for you to peruse. read more

TONIGHT: Father, Bobby Raps, and Martin Sky at the Cabooze

It’s going down tonight at the Cabooze.

Red Bull Sound Select and Greenroom Magazine have come together and set up a banger of a show that’ll only set you back $3 with an RSVP (which you can do right here).

The always-touring Father will be blessing the stage along with St. Paul’s own Bobby Raps, Martin $ky, and DJ sets from TIIIIIIIIIIP and KicksOneTwo homie BVCKWOODS. Father’s shows always get turnt, and with $3 first come, first serve tickets (the RSVP only enables you to buy a $3 ticket at the door, it doesn’t guarantee you a spot in the show), it’s going to be even rowdier than usual. Yeezy Season 2 – Minneapolis Showing

YEEZY SZN 2.

I spent the majority of Wednesday refreshing my email in hopes of receiving tickets to the Minneapolis Yeezy Season 2 showing. I finally got them later in the night (along with everyone else from Minnesota) and I was amped. Even though I had no clue what to expect, and had numerous questions since the whole event seemed rushed and very last minute, I was still excited to go.

We were granted a plus one, and my dad had expressed interested in going, so I decided to bring him along. He’s not the biggest Kanye fan, and he doesn’t like rap music at all, so I wasn’t sure what he would think, but I figured it would be interesting to get someone who wasn’t immersed in the culture’s thoughts on the show. read more

TCSAX 5 Recap

On March 1st, 2015, sneakerheads, artists, music lovers, and clothing enthusiasts from all over the Midwest made the pilgrimage to the home of the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Target Center in downtown Minneapolis for the 5th installment of Studiiyo23‘s famed Twin Cities Sneaker Art Exchange (or TCSAX 5 for short). With sneakers, clothing, music, art, and all kinds of dope people under one roof in a whole new venue, it was a momentous afternoon for Minnesota sneaker scene.

It was a packed house, as TCSAX veterans and new attendees crowded the Target Center concourse. read more
