Designer sneakers are a polarizing topic among sneakerheads. Some love them for their high quality and extravagant styling. Some think they’re overpriced rip-offs of classic athletic designs and won’t give them the time of day whatsoever. However, no matter if you love them or hate them, you’ve got to tip your hat to Gucci. They’ve been absolutely KILLING the designer footwear game recently, making the kind of shoes that you just can’t hate, no matter how you feel about the category as a whole.

What are they doing so well, you may ask? Well, they’re more loud and in-your-face than ever before. Sure, everyone knows Gucci for their classic designs (monogram pattern and green/red stripe), but their new creative director¬†Alessandro Michele has pushed them in a bold and fresh direction.
