Designer sneakers are a polarizing topic among sneakerheads. Some love them for their high quality and extravagant styling. Some think they’re overpriced rip-offs of classic athletic designs and won’t give them the time of day whatsoever. No matter what side of the spectrum you fall on, we’re sure you feel some type of way about designer shoes.

However, no matter if you love them or hate them, you’ve got to tip your hat to Gucci. They’ve been absolutely KILLING the designer footwear game recently, making the kind of shoes that you just can’t hate, no matter how you feel about the category as a whole.

What are they doing so well, you may ask? Well, they’re more loud and in-your-face than ever before. Sure, everyone knows Gucci for their classic designs (monogram pattern and green/red stripe), but their new creative director Alessandro Michele has pushed them in a bold and fresh direction.

He’s all about loud, in-your-face designs that are bound to turn heads wherever you go, but he’s not sacrificing a bit of the legendary quality that Gucci is known for. Combine that burst of new energy with a classic and established brand, and you’re bound to have a winner on your hands.

If you’re feeling brave enough to wear a loud, extravagant sneaker and your pockets are deep enough to afford them (Gucci ain’t cheap fam), grab a pair or two and slide them right into your fall rotation. You’ll be turning heads left and right … and we all love doing that, don’t we?
