Ronnie Fieg. A name that every sneakerhead knows well. A man who’s known for thoughtful, tasteful designs on his collaborative footwear efforts and his own Kith clothing. A man who’s fully entered the spotlight after his Kithland presentation last week.
Ronnie and Kith have always been ahead of the curve. They were one of the first brands to really, truly popularize the jogger pant stateside, and now they create everything from cut-and-sew menswear to a full-fledged women’s line that’s been met with critical acclaim. The creativity doesn’t just stop at the product either. Ronnie’s retail stores are constantly lauded for being top-of-the-line when it comes to their design and aesthetic.
And, as mentioned in the first part of the article, Ronnie’s first runway show was a great success. He showed a whole year’s worth of looks. He premiered collabs with everyone from Bape to Adidas. He established three major themes, stuck to them, and even brought out the likes of Fabolous, The Lox, and Mase to keep the crowd entertained, something you’re not going to see at your every-day fashion show. You know the celebrities in the building (Iman Shumpert, Victor Cruz, Lil Uzi Vert) enjoyed it.
Ronnie and Kith are coming for the throne, garnering more attention and putting out better product than ever before. 2016 is finishing on a very strong note for them, and 2017 is looking like it just might be their year. When Kith takes over and you see it everywhere you go … just remember that we called it.
