Anwar Carrots Can Do No Wrong

We’re huge Carrots By Anwar Carrots fans here at KicksOneTwo. Anwar’s brand has developed an unmistakable signature aesthetic (with a whole lot of orange), has been rocked by everyone from Lil Yachty to Madeintyo, has collabbed with everyone from Alt Med to Rare Panther, and is truly on the come-up.

However, their most recent power move might just be their biggest yet. Anwar and Brooks have come together for a collaborative Beast (one of Brooks’s most iconic running shoes) done up in an orange, navy, and white colorway. It’s classic retro runner style meets modern streetwear … and it looks absolutely great. Anwar’s done it again.

However, the release process is almost as interesting as the sneaker itself. Anwar is hosting a “Runaway Carrots” tour that’ll make stops and set up pop-up shops in Washington, Oregon, and California where the shoe will be available for purchase alongside co-branded apparel before it actually releases through Brooks stockists on the 17th of December.

In a world full of Yeezys and Jordan I’s, it’s refreshing to see a change of pace from a brand like Carrots that’s really pressing the envelope as far as creating a new wave goes They could go down the same path and try to hop on what’s hot right now … but they’ve chosen to go in a different direction, a decision that commands respect. We’ll be anxiously awaiting the drop on the 17th … after all, who wouldn’t want to wear some runaway carrots on their feet?

  1. These are definitely fire for real. Fell in love with them the first time I’ve seen them online. While everyone is going right (same sneakers), I’ma go left and cop these. They should do their next collab with Karhu.
