Sometimes it’s a blessing to be able to fit grade school sizes.

The shoes are cheaper. They generally don’t sell out as fast. And occasionally, there’s some GS fire that big-footers wish they could cop. That’s the case with the recently released Jordan XI “Heiress”.

The rich burgundy colorway first debuted on a Jordan I earlier this year, and although they made some noise, they weren’t a ground-shaking release by any stretch of the imagination. The thirst for Yeezys continues to get more and more real.

Every time you think people couldn’t get more hyped for a drop, they get more hyped. Every time you think there’s going to be more pairs available, they’re mysteriously all gone and you’re left without any yet again. The game is crazy. How do stores releasing the Yeezys handle it?

Obviously first come, first serve is a no-go, and the traditional raffle takes a lot of heat from whiney sneakerheads who complain about raffles being rigged every time they don’t win (if they are rigged, don’t complain … just get yourself a better plug). read more

You may have heard: there’s a Yeezy releasing this Saturday. You know how it goes at this point: you’ll have to get up early to try your hand at getting your pair online after you took countless L’s raffling at the mall. You probably won’t get them, and the day will leave a bad taste in your mouth. You’ll say you’re done trying to get Yeezys … a resolution that’ll stick until the next drop comes around and you start the cycle again.

That’s just the way of the game. But rumor has it that the 350 Boost V2’s releasing this weekend may just be the most widely available pair yet. What does that mean? That’s a good question. Your guess is just as good as ours. read more

Diffusion labels can be a tough sell. Sometimes, they take what was so great about the brand they were based off of, and put a fresh spin on it (PACCBET and Gosha Rubchinskiy for example) … and sometimes what they do is a little more muddled.

One of the brands that falls into the “more muddled” category (at least as far as we’re concerned) is Aape by A Bathing Ape. Quick backstory if you’re not familiar: Aape is a less expensive version of A Bathing Ape that comes in at a slightly lower price point and is supposed to offer a younger, fresher feel. It’s aimed at a younger audience that may still want the Bathing Ape signature look but can’t/won’t dole out the cash to achieve it. read more

Ronnie Fieg the gawd.

Year after year, we think Ronnie can’t turn up any more, and what does he do? He goes out and turns up more. 2016 was arguably his best year ever with the presentation of his Kithland fashion show, his new store opening in Miami, his “Heritage” Asics, and collabs with 90’s icons like the Rugrats, Cap’n Crunch, and the Power Rangers. Yeah, Ronnie’s been making a lot of boss moves these past 12 months … but his strong 2016 isn’t over just yet. read more
