What’s The Best Way To Handle A Yeezy Release?

oneness-yeezy-release

The thirst for Yeezys continues to get more and more real.

Every time you think people couldn’t get more hyped for a drop, they get more hyped. Every time you think there’s going to be more pairs available, they’re mysteriously all gone and you’re left without any yet again. The game is crazy. How do stores releasing the Yeezys handle it?

Obviously first come, first serve is a no-go, and the traditional raffle takes a lot of heat from whiney sneakerheads who complain about raffles being rigged every time they don’t win (if they are rigged, don’t complain … just get yourself a better plug). read more

R.I.P. Craig Sager

920x920

The NBA lost a great personality on Thursday. A man who loved the game of basketball. A man who was ready to interview at any given moment. A man who was as known for his loud and crazy outfits (that he somehow managed to make work time and time again) just as much as he was known for his interviews.

Craig Sager, the legendary NBA On TNT sideline reporter passed away at the age of 65 due to complications from his battle with cancer.

The outpouring of love and support from the NBA family was heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. Sager left a great impact on the players as well as his NBA On TNT co-workers, and was as much a part of the game as anyone else. read more

Matthew Dellavedova’s New Shoe Commercial Is Hilariously Awkward

You can’t not love Matthew Dellavadova. He’s a grinder. He’s a hard worker. He doesn’t quit. He’s a guy who gets by more on sheer will and hard work than athleticism. He can shoot pretty well too. He stepped up in the 2015 NBA Finals when Kyrie Irving went down with an injury and helped a battered Cavs team take two from the Warriors by playing tough defense and hitting threes. He signed a 4-year, $38 million dollar deal with the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason, an extremely impressive achievement for any NBA player … especially one who wasn’t drafted. read more

What Does “Widely Available” Mean When It Comes To Yeezys?

yeezy-boost-350-v2-black-white-shoes-1-1-620x435

You may have heard: there’s a Yeezy releasing this Saturday. You know how it goes at this point: you’ll have to get up early to try your hand at getting your pair online after you took countless L’s raffling at the mall. You probably won’t get them, and the day will leave a bad taste in your mouth. You’ll say you’re done trying to get Yeezys … a resolution that’ll stick until the next drop comes around and you start the cycle again.

That’s just the way of the game. But rumor has it that the 350 Boost V2’s releasing this weekend may just be the most widely available pair yet. What does that mean? That’s a good question. Your guess is just as good as ours. read more

Does Anyone Really Care About Aape?

ƒvƒŠƒ“ƒg

Diffusion labels can be a tough sell. Sometimes, they take what was so great about the brand they were based off of, and put a fresh spin on it (PACCBET and Gosha Rubchinskiy for example) … and sometimes what they do is a little more muddled.

aape5

One of the brands that falls into the “more muddled” category (at least as far as we’re concerned) is Aape by A Bathing Ape. Quick backstory if you’re not familiar: Aape is a less expensive version of A Bathing Ape that comes in at a slightly lower price point and is supposed to offer a younger, fresher feel. It’s aimed at a younger audience that may still want the Bathing Ape signature look but can’t/won’t dole out the cash to achieve it. read more

The Kith Aspen Footwear Is Off The Charts

kith-adidas-trail-boost-ronnie-fieg

Ronnie Fieg the gawd.

Year after year, we think Ronnie can’t turn up any more, and what does he do? He goes out and turns up more. 2016 was arguably his best year ever with the presentation of his Kithland fashion show, his new store opening in Miami, his “Heritage” Asics, and collabs with 90’s icons like the Rugrats, Cap’n Crunch, and the Power Rangers. Yeah, Ronnie’s been making a lot of boss moves these past 12 months … but his strong 2016 isn’t over just yet. read more

The Jury Is No Longer Out: The Space Jam XI’s Are A Winner

air-jordan-xi_4

About a week and a half ago, we were wondering what the Space Jam XI release would look like. We’d heard a lot of complaints from a lot of sneakerheads about the shoe. They didn’t like the “45” on the back. They didn’t like the higher cut of the patent leather on the upper. The shoe wasn’t true to the original because (fill in the blank with any number of sneakerhead-style complaints here). We wondered how the general public would receive the shoe as a whole. read more

Will The Flyknit Racer Ever Fully Return To Glory?

nike-flyknit-racer-rough-green-release-reminder-1

The Nike Flyknit Racer. A shoe that as recently as 2013 was unfuckwittable. A shoe that ushered in the age of athleisure along with tapered sweats and fashion-forwards workout garments. A shoe that was collected obsessively by sneakerheads around the world, and even worn by Kanye West. Yes, there was a time when the Flyknit Racer was top of the line. Shit, the original “Multiunit” colorway still bangs for upwards of $450 on Flight Club.

Nike has recently put the Flyknit Racer back at the front line of their sportswear offerings, with recent releases like the “Blackout” and the “Multiknit 2.0” generating a good amount of hype, and even selling out fairly quickly. So we’re wondering: will the Flyknit Racer ever return to its former glory? read more
