Well, we’ve got a new favorite. “The Show” by Round 2 is all we’ve been watching these past few weeks, and we’re borderline-obsessed with it.

Here’s the quick backstory. Round 2 is a great vintage/consignment shop based in Richmond, VA. They’ve also got a location in LA, and they specialize in rare vintage gear from brands like Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger, while also offering practically every shoe you can think of, from Nike to Saucony. Every year, Nike teams up with the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland to release a collection of shoes designed/inspired by the hospital’s young patients..and every year there’s a Jordan release in that collection.

As you might imagine, collectors the world over go crazy for these limited-edition kicks year in and year out. No matter what colorway or model, it’s a guaranteed sellout. And just like so many other things in life, this ties in with your style as well. Sneakers and clothing are ever-changing, and your personal style should too.

Sure, you can find your wardrobe staples, and they can be anything from a clean black bomber jacket to a Bape shark hoodie, to a fresh pair of Jordan IV’s. Sneakerheads were camping outside stores. There were long lines for a non-Yeezy sneaker for the first time in what feels like forever. The thirst (and the salt) were both very real. As some of you may already know, the kid is in LA for a few days. I love Minnesota, but I had to take a few days away from the cold, rain, and snow and come out to the west side. Remember the good old days?

The days when you used to walk into the store on release day, buy your Jordans, take them out of the box, lace them up, and walk out of the store with them on your feet? We do too. We actually enjoyed those days so much that we’re here today telling you that you should bring back the old habit, and start rocking your kicks right after you cop them.

Nowadays, there’s too much emphasis placed on sitting on your kicks after you cop them. No matter if they’re super-limited or a readily available GR, people don’t seem to like to break their new purchases out until much later down the road. While we understand that it’s nice to keep a banger on deck and bust it out months or years down the line, there’s no need to do that with the majority of the shoes in your collection. read more
