Take a classic model that’s always been associated with New York. Take New York’s most prominent and successful streetwear brand Supreme. Take a simple base colorway with loud all-over branding and what do you have? That’s right, you’ve got the Supreme Air Force I. Nike and Supreme have linked up in the past for everything from SB Dunks to Bruins to Foamposites (and even an Air Force I Low), but these Air Force I Highs might be one of their best collaborative efforts to date. read more

It’s the end of the year, so that means I’m obligated to post an end-of-year “best of list”. There were a lot of dope kicks this year, and it was very hard to narrow them down to 5, but after deliberation both alone and with the KicksOneTwo staff and homies, I was able to get it done.

A few things to keep in mind while reading this list: this is a personal opinion. This is my personal top 5, not the 5 shoes that had the most impact on the industry or changed the game the most (although that is factored in). I was perusing various sneaker sites a few days ago when I saw something that stopped me dead in my tracks. Complex and Flight Club were teaming up to offer a trip to New York, complete with a $1500 shopping spree at Flight Club’s NY location (in the event you didn’t see it, the link to enter the contest is here).

I allotted myself a few minutes to daydream about how dope winning the contest would be. A free trip to NY, meeting all the people at Complex, and $1500 to blow at New York’s sneaker mecca? Sounds like a dream come true. read more

I don’t get buyer’s remorse. Over the course of my whole life, I’ve returned something I bought maybe 2-3 times, and that was because what I bought just didn’t work (a cheap-ass Ipod dock from Marshalls), or it just wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be (Eddie Huang‘s vastly overrated book Fresh Off The Boat: A Memoir).

You’re most likely a part of at least one, and there’s a decent chance you’re part of three or more. No, I’m not talking about World Of Warcraft guilds or Destiny raid teams (word to KicksOneTwo’s own Jahmade). I’m talking about Facebook sneaker groups.

They’re pretty great. Although nothing beats making deals and talking about kicks face to face, it’s not always possible. Sneaker groups are a great way to bring a local or nationwide community of people who love kicks together, and give them a place to buy, sell, trade, and just shoot the shit. read more

Can you believe it? It’s already December. The year seems to have flown by. However, it’s not quite over yet, and there are still several dope pairs dropping this month. Although there’s always a good amount of heat around Christmastime, I was able to narrow it down to a personal top five, and yes, it’s in order. 5. Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Volt/Volt/Black” (December 24th) 

Although I’m not huge on the many crazy Foamposite colors that have been dropping lately, the all-volt Foamposite Pro is right up my alley. I’ve always been a fan of the volt colorway, and feel that with a solid color, crazy loud colors on Foams can work. The black speckled carbon fiber is a nice touch as well. read more

Everyone loves a good collaboration. It may be Kanye West and Jay-Z coming together for a dope album like Watch The Throne, or Jeff Staple and Shake Shack coming together for a delicious dessert, but whenever two or more influencers come together and collaborate, usually something dope comes out of it.

However, we’re not talking about rap albums or desserts today. We’re talking about shoe collaborations, and how they’ve flooded the market. It seems like every which way you turn there’s a new one dropping, be it a new Burn Rubber x New Balance, or something from Nike SB and pretty much any skateshop anywhere in the world. read more

Hey everyone. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and slept off all that turkey you ate.

I thought it was only right that I talked a little about everything I’m thankful for in the sneaker game, seeing as Christmas is right around the corner, and Thanksgiving was just yesterday. Counting your blessings during the holiday season is always important, and seeing as lots of folks like to bitch and moan about the sneaker game, I wanted to spend a little time on the good things.

First of all, I wanted to give a shoutout to everyone I’ve met doing this crazy sneaker thing. From Jahmade to Adam to Moh, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some really awesome people. I’ve always maintained the best thing about our culture is the lasting connections that you make with similar-minded people who love the same stuff that you do, and that still holds true. read more

3. The Hundreds x Reebok Pump AXT

When two brands of this stature link up, you know something good is bound to happen. The Hundreds and Reebok came together for two amazing colorways of the classic Pump AXT cross-trainer. Dubbed the “Coldwaters”, one shoe features a San Jose Sharks inspired black and blue colorway, while the other features a dark green and pink colorway inspired by coral, moss and other living sea organisms.
