With this change of weather comes the need to change up your footwear. Don’t Steal Sauce

It’s Sunday, and we’re not talking directly about kicks today. We’re talking about originality and where you draw your inspiration from. Make sure you’ve got your snacks on deck, and get ready for halftime of whatever football game you’re watching, because I’m about to drop some life lessons on you.

We all have someone that we draw inspiration from.

Maybe you’re a big fan of pop art and you aspire to be like Andy Warhol. Maybe you’re a big fan of Southern hip-hop and you look up to Bun B. Maybe you want to have the world’s biggest and most obnoxious sneaker collection possible, and you’re inspired by someone like Mayor or The Perfect Pair. read more

The Case For Investing In High-Quality Pieces

Everyone wants quality nowadays. Whether you’re in the market for a new pair of kicks, a new car, or a delicious lunch at a fancy-ass restaurant, quality is important. You’ll normally pay extra to get something that’s of a higher caliber and will last longer than the cheaper alternative.

So you don’t mind paying extra for something that’ll last. Great. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, allow me to present a radical though to you: have you ever considered investing in high-quality pieces for your wardrobe? read more

Yeezy Season 2 – Minneapolis Showing

YEEZY SZN 2.

I spent the majority of Wednesday refreshing my email in hopes of receiving tickets to the Minneapolis Yeezy Season 2 showing. I finally got them later in the night (along with everyone else from Minnesota) and I was amped. Even though I had no clue what to expect, and had numerous questions since the whole event seemed rushed and very last minute, I was still excited to go.

We were granted a plus one, and my dad had expressed interested in going, so I decided to bring him along. He’s not the biggest Kanye fan, and he doesn’t like rap music at all, so I wasn’t sure what he would think, but I figured it would be interesting to get someone who wasn’t immersed in the culture’s thoughts on the show. read more

Style Do’s And Dont’s For Sneakerheads

We’re sneaker guys. It’s in our blood. It’s what we do. There’s no part of an outfit that we love more than a crispy pair of kicks. We dress from the feet up each and every day, and we’re damn proud of it.

The only issue with this is that sometimes we love our kicks a little bit too much, and the rest of our outfit gets neglected. There are far too many sneakerheads that rock fire pairs with terrible outfits on a daily basis, and I’d like to help change that, seeing as I haven’t had a shitty fit in years (yeah, that was cocky, but anyone who knows me will tell you it’s true). read more

Thoughts On The Supreme S/S 2015 Collection

They’re back.

preme 1

After what feels like a long hiatus (even though it was just a few months), Supreme is back with their latest offering, the Spring/Summer 2015 collection. In classic Supreme fashion, there’s plenty of collabs, random yet tasteful accessories, and a wide variety of garments, from soccer goalie jerseys to a faux-fur coat. If you haven’t seen the lookbook yet, it’s available on Supreme’s home page as well as Hypebeast.

As a whole, I think Supreme did a very solid job with this collection. There are a few really solid graphic t-shirts (my two favorites are the “You’re not living until you’re living for Supreme” and the “Fuck You We Do What We Want” tees), the hoodies seem to be on point (if not somewhat safe), and on the headwear front there are a plethora of dope camp caps, snapbacks, beanies, bucket hats and the usual one fitted to chose from as well. read more

How To Step Your Sock Game Up

It’s almost sacrilegious. You’ve got a fresh pair of kicks on, but for some reason you’re wearing an old, dirty-ass pair of white Wal-Mart specials you’ve had for years. That’s not alright. It messes your whole steez up. Not sure how to improve your sock game? No worries, the KicksOneTwo staff is here, and we’re more than happy to help you.

The first step is pretty simple. Figure out what type of sock works best for you. Wear a lot of high-tops? Crew socks are your best bet. Prefer sleek running silhouettes? Shoot for an ankle or no-show sock. read more
