4 Criminally Underrated Jordan I’s

Here at KicksOneTwo, we’re big fans of the Jordan I High. There’s no other shoe like it, and the shoe that ushered in the Jordan era is still the best model they’ve ever released, even 30 years later.

But not all colorways of the I get the love that they should. Sure, everyone loves a crispy pair of Breds, Royals, Shadows, or Fragments…but what about the pairs that don’t get the shine they should? Well we’ve got the four pairs that we think are the most underrated right here, and we’re gonna put you on game.

“Family Forever”

The “Family Foverer” I has everything you could want in a sneaker: quality materials, cool little details and a great backstory…yet they still sat on shelves after they came out. Now, a year and a half later, everyone’s going crazy over supposed leaked images of a “Denim” Jordan I. Maybe they finally realized what they missed out on with these.

“Gucci”

Most sneakerheads love high fashion brands (for belts if nothing else), so it’s odd to think that the “Gucci” I’s don’t come up in discussion more. Borrowing the legendary Italian fashion house’s signature colors, the “Guccis” bring a little high-fashion flare to a classic sneaker. Absolute flames.

“Melo”

We still can’t believe these didn’t cause more of a ruckus. A “Melo” logo on the tongue and a Jumpman on the heel really turned sneakerheads off to a super-clean black and gold sneaker? These are one of the best Jordan I releases of the past 5 years Slap yourself if you passed on these…then go on eBay and grab a pair for around retail. You’ll realize what you missed out on when you put them on your feet.

“Metallic Red”

There were certainly some brick Jordan I’s released from 2009-2010, but the “Metallic Red” I’s were anything but. Releasing alongside a white/metallic green and a white/metallic purple pair provided for some stiff competition, but the “Metallic Red” I’s were the best out of the pack, and still look super clean whenever you see them on feet today.

What do you think the most underrated Jordan I’s of all time are? Do you own any of the pairs on this list? Be sure to let us know in the comments or on Twitter, and be sure to follow us on Instagram for all the fire sneaker pictures you can handle!
