Jordan XV: The Worst Air Jordan Ever

Any signature sneaker line is bound to have its ups and downs, especially when they’ve been around as long as the Air Jordan. Over 31 signature models, the Air Jordan has experienced great highs and terrible lows … and the most terrible of those lows is definitely the Air Jordan XV.

Lots of Jordans have been inspired by flight, and like one of the best Jordans ever, the Jordan V, the XV was inspired by a plane (the X-15 jet), but that’s about the only similarity. These are horrible. Just look at them, for god’s sake. If they were a video game, they’d be Trash Bandicoot. If they were a breakfast food, they’d be trash browns. If they were a track and field event, they’d be the 100-yard trash. Yes, they’re that bad. read more

Why Do People Wear Fake Yeezys?

Fake Yeezys. The scourge of the sneaker game. Some are made-up colorways, like the one above. Some have light-up midsoles. Some are so flimsy they look like water shoes. Some are actually pretty damn good and can only be spotted by a trained eye. No matter what they look like though, they all have one thing in common: they absolutely suck.

The Yeezy 350 Boost just might be the most-faked sneaker of all time. You can hardly go a day without seeing a fake pair of Yeezys on someone’s feet … and we can’t help but sit here and wonder why. What would compel you to buy/wear a fake pair? read more

PE’s: Not Always A Winner

Some sneakerheads love nothing more than a fresh pair of PE’s. Maybe it’s a college shoe, and they’re fans of the school. Maybe it’s a professional athlete’s PE, and they’re gassed to have a player they love’s shoe. Maybe they just love having rare shoes that were never for sale and are difficult to acquire. Yeah, it’s safe to say the PE life is a crazy life.

However, not all PE’s are a winner. Just because something’s limited and unavailable to the general public doesn’t always make it dope. Let’s use Andre Johnson’s Miami Jordan XI’s (pictured above) that he premiered on Instagram yesterday for an example. read more

The Ultra Boost Mid Will Be A Hit In 2017

Ah, the Ultra Boost. Season after season, it continues to be one of the KicksOneTwo staff’s favorite shoes because of its comfort and style. We wear Ultra Boosts year round, and are of the opinion that there’s never a bad time to throw a pair on.

So obviously we’re gassed about the Ultra Boost Mid, the newest model in the Ultra Boost family, first introduced by Ronnie Fieg as part of the Kith Aspen capsule collection.

The Ultra Boost Mid is similar to the regular Ultra Boosts in that it features a Primeknit upper with a full-length Boost midsole, but where it’s different is its high, sock-like collar that comes up around the ankle. Kith introduced the first two colors to the world, the multicolor pair pictured above and an all-white friends and family pair … but now Adidas has leaked the first images of the Ultra Boost ATR mid, a heavy-duty, weather-resistant version of the same shoe. read more

Kyrie 3: How Does It Stack Up?

Kyrie Irving: One of the most exciting players in the NBA, a point guard with a quick crossover, a knack for getting to the hoop, a true competitor’s spirit, and three signature shoes now under his belt.

That’s right, the Nike Kyrie 3 released yesterday in the “Black Ice” colorway. Even though we believe that signature shoes aren’t what they used to be, we’ve always had a soft spot for Kyrie’s line, as all the shoes he’s released so far have been clean, comfy … and most importantly, extremely affordable compared to other signature shoes. Not every kid’s parents can afford to drop $150+ on the newest signature shoe … so the Kyrie’s slightly lower price point has always been a win in our book. read more

It’s been a wild year for sneakers. From releases to news to rumors and speculation, there was always something going on from the beginning of January to the end of December. Yeah, the game was engaging (to say the least) in 2016.

But looking back at it all at the end of the year, do you know what the craziest story had to be? No, it’s not Yeezy related (don’t worry). It’s the Fragment I’s, one of the most valuable Jordan I’s on the market popping up at discount chain retailer Marshalls. read more

Remembering A Classic: Just For Kicks

349just_for_kicks

Social media is extremely important in today’s sneaker world. It breaks news, informs, and is a communication medium for sneakerheads all over the world. From Instagram to Twitter, the sneaker world is always abuzz.

Back in the day (yes, I’m old enough to say that) before social media was what it is today though, there were fewer outlets providing news and info on sneakers. Someone who didn’t understand what our world was all about might not be able to comprehend just what was so special about kicks and why people did so much to collect them. read more

Lift Off With Jordan’s Recently Announced “Take Flight” Pack

air-jordan-take-flight-pack-release-date-info-01

From their early days, Air Jordans have always taken a lot of inspiration from fighter planes. From the P51 Mustang inspiration on the V’s to the stealth jet-esque look on the XV’s, the rulers of the sky have always held weight when it comes to the thought process behind Jordan designs.

It should come as no surprise then that the three-shoe “Take Flight” pack releasing in early 2017 is heavily inspired by flight and flying as well. The black IV’s and their stealth-jet inspired design lead off the pack, while the V’s and the VIII’s (with am upper incorporating neoprene for the first time ever) are inspired by old-school olive bomber jackets worn by pilots. read more
