A day of madness is almost upon us.

That’s right, Black Friday is approaching fast and just like every year, there’s deals to be had and purchases to be made. The general public will be whipped into a buying frenzy, and whatever store you chose to hit will likely be jam-packed with all types of shoppers, including your fellow sneakerheads … even though they might not be buying kicks.

We’ve put together a few tips for you to make your experience as easy as possible, no matter if you’re out looking for shoes (which you should be) or electronics. November 23rd: a day that will go down in sneaker history.

Let’s be honest here: pretty much any day with a Yeezy release will go down in sneaker history at this point, but November 23rd is going to be special. There’s not just one Yeezy release that day … there’s three.

Any connoisseur of sneakers and streetcar knows that shipping can get expensive quick. Most of what they cop is online, so a shipping fee is just part of the deal. Yeah, it sucks … but there’s not really much you can do about it. You want to get your jawns right? If you do, then you’ve gotta pay that shipping cost. There’s really no way around it.

But when does a shipping charge get too high? When does it go from a pure inconvenience to something more? That depends.

A typical shipping charge is a flat $10, no matter what’s being shipped or how much it weighs. This is a little steep, but it’s an industry standard, practiced by Supreme and Kith among others, so it’s not the worst thing in the world. Other companies will offer flat rate shipping for $6.99, and some companies are even willing to toss you free shipping on certain items. All these options range from reasonable to good. read more

Nike’s been through a lot of boxes in their time in the sneaker world. The classic orange box. The red box with the large, bold “NIKE” graphic on the top. The light brown sportswear boxes. Many an SB box, from gold to green to tan. Yeah, there’s a lot of variety. If you’ve been collecting for several years, there’s a good chance your sneaker stacks have many colors of boxes in them.

But we’d have to say, of all the boxes Nike’s released over their history, the pink box just might be the very best. Introduced back in 2005, the pink box (can’t help but chuckle every time we say that … yes, we’re extremely immature) housed many a heater Nike SB Dunk in its short-lived run, and is now back, as the “Pink Box” Dunks are set to release this Black Friday. read more

It’s a trying time in the world right now. There’s a lot of sorrow, hurt, frustration, and anger. Many of the issues facing our society today can’t be solved easily. They require a lot of thought, compromises, and discussion. It’s been a tough year.

In times like these, the best thing we can do is come together. Show love to one another. Let each other know that we mean something, and that we’re loved and appreciated. We’re big A$AP Mob fans here at KicksOneTwo (Cozy Tapes has been in non-stop rotation since it dropped), and by association, we rock pretty heavy with A$AP Bari’s VLONE. The designs are simple but eye-catching, and the brand has all the right cosigns (let’s be honest, we all know how much that matters).

So as you can imagine, we were fairly excited when A$AP Bari teased a VLONE Air Force 1 … and even more excited when it was announced it would be an official collaborative release to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the AF1. read more
