Starting Five: OG Rob

Starting Five season is back in full swing.

After making a triumphant return following an extended hiatus earlier this week with the second installment of Studiiyo23’s own Dallas’s current rotation, the next Starting Five up is courtesy of Piff co-owner/operations manager OG Rob, who’s currently rocking  everything from classic SB’s to under-the radar Nike Sportswear silhouettes and hyped-up Air Max.

Miss the last installment and not sure exactly how Starting Five works? Here’s a quick crash course: a knowledgable Minneapolis sneakerhead shows off the five pairs that they’re currently rocking and shares exactly why they like each pair. You get an opportunity not only to see what your peers are wearing … but to see exactly why they like what they like, as they share insights on each pair in their rotation. read more

It’s back like it never left. A classic KicksOneTwo series. An encore over a year in the making. After a nearly 18-month hiatus, our infamous Starting Five has returned.

Not familiar with the concept? We’ll explain. A KicksOneTwo homie picks the five sneakers that are currently getting the most wear in their rotation, and explains what they like about each pair. It’s a great way for you, our KicksOneTwo family to see what other people in the community are rocking, and gain a little insight into your peers (and their collections) as well. read more

It’s that time again. Summer is upon us, and with the warm weather comes an entirely new sneaker rotation. I checked in at the beginning of fall last year to show you what I was rocking…and now the rotation has completely switched up, so a new Starting Five is in order. Here’s everything I’m going to be rocking heavy this summer. And yes, there’s some dirt and grime on some of them. They’re being rocked. Wear your shoes (word to Mayor). Let’s get it. read more

Starting Five: Dallas Camp

Happy Halloween! Today we’re bringing you a very rare Starting Five. Our homie Dallas was kind enough to let us shoot the five kicks that he’s currently got in rotation. There’s a lot of fire in this Starting Five, so make sure that your monitor doesn’t overheat while you’re checking out the pictures. Without further ado, here’s Dallas’s five!

1. Jordan Black Infrared VI

Dallas Says: The silhouette of the Jordan VI is dope, and this is such a clean colorway. It’s the first shoe Mike won a ring in too, what’s not to love? read more

We’re back.

That’s right, we’ve got an all-new Starting Five, courtesy of our good friend Jordan, who was kind enough to let us shoot the five kicks that are currently in his rotation (and their doubles of course…you’ve got to be sure to keep two pairs on deck if at all possible). Let’s get right to it!

1. Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 High

Jordan Says: The red AF1’s were my favorite colorway out of the three Supreme released last year. I threw the white laces in my everyday pair, they contrast so well with the white upper. read more

Starting Five: Ross Dwyer (Part II)

We’re back with a new edition of Starting Five, and this time around, we’re doing our first ever re-visit.

I did the first ever Starting Five here on KicksOneTwo, and since a substantial amount of time has passed since then, my rotation has changed as well. Here’s the five kicks that I’m currently rocking the most!

1. Nike Air Huarache Run PA “White/Gum”

white gum hurarache

I’m usually not the biggest all-white sneaker fan, but these were too clean to pass up. The ostrich-pattern white leather upper with the gum sole? C’mon son. I actually passed on these when they first dropped, but when I got a second chance to grab them, I couldn’t pass it up. They’re just so easy to throw on with any summer fit..and the comfort is A1 too. read more

Starting Five: Jessica Yeang

It’s back, and it’s better than ever. You read the title right, we’ve got an all-new Starting Five for you, featuring one of the waviest female sneakerheads in Minnesota,  our girl Jessica. With everything from Jordans to Flyknit to Air Max, (and some great backdrops thanks to the Walker Sculpture Garden) it’s a dope and varied rotation.

1. Nike Flyknit Rosherun “Multicolor”

Flyknit is one of my favorite sneaker materials and the Roshe is one of my favorite silhouettes, so obviously the Flyknit Roshe has gotta make an appearance on my Starting Five. The multicolor is by far the best color way of the many that have released so far. read more

aston martin hyperdunk

1. Nike Hyperdunk “Aston Martin DB9”

I really like Aston Martin, and the execution on this shoe was flawless. It’s the exact same colorway as the car that Kobe jumped over in that infamous video. Super comfortable and made with premium materials. read more
